As the designer of the DH Comet (the world's first jet airliner), Sir G. De Havilland would say "ADD LIGHTNESS!"
(later Colin Chapman borrowed the phrase for Lotus racing car design!).
To that end we have fitted Polycarbonate FIA approved 5mm thick side windows to the little Racer. Standard glass ones weigh 10.8kg - new ones only 5.5 kg!
